1. What file formats does Align Assist handle?

Align Assist handles the following file formats:

  • Microsoft Word (.doc, .rtf)
  • Microsoft Excel (.xls, .csv)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt)
  • HTML
  • XML
  • Text

2. Can I align web pages?

Yes. Just specify a URL instead of a file name.

3. Can I save my work and load it again later?

Yes. See the section on saving intermediate results for details.

4. I deleted a cell by mistake! Can I undo it?

You can undo all of the split, merge, delete, and swap commands. Just press CTRL + Z, or from the Actions menu, select Undo. You can undo any number of commands (this is called “infinite undo”).

5. Can I load Felix translation memories/glossaries?

Yes. From the main window menu, select File >> Open, then set the file type to “Felix Memory Files” or “Felix Glossary Files”. The memory™ or glossary is opened in the Alignment Window.

6. Can I save my memories in TMX format?

Yes. In addition to the Felix TM format, you can also save your alignment results in TMX format. From the Save dialog, simply select the “TMX Memory” format.
